Just wanted to write something today, even if it was senseless waffle. I make that sound like this would be an usual occurrence in one of my blogs, which would be if not a lie then at least an obscuration of the truth. Oh, Vanity… Thy name is Mann.
Anyway, it’s been a rough old couple of weeks and the idea of putting anything into words has given me a tummy ache. Literally. Like a seven year old on their first day at big school. Only not so cute.
Basically, 2012 was going to be THE YEAR. The year of the London Olympics. The year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Boris getting voted out of the Major’s office. Maybe even the year the world ended (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon).
But is was also going to be the year when I, my family and my friends did amazing things. Where all the rubbish of the last few years was set aside and we all flourished in the glory of our own achievements.
This is why I started the Evil Plans project and this blog. It was all about hope and positivity. And new, shiny experiences. So the overwhelming ‘blahness’ of the last few weeks has knocked the stuffing out of me a bit. And, yes, I do know it’s only March. The year is not yet done. The world can be put to rights. I just need a little time to lick my wounds and practice my special Evil Plans Despot Salute.
I promise I will get my thick skin back and post fun again, Next week.
Until then, have a great weekend peoples and much Friday Happiness your way.
*Salutes*
